9.1 Preparing pronunciation training:
Select vocabulary sets

In the AI-supported pronunciation training, you first decide which vocabulary items you want to practise. As with the tests, you have three options: Select vocabulary sets, Random, or Recently added. This video focuses on the first option: selecting one or more existing vocabulary sets for pronunciation training.

Allow microphone access for pronunciation training

Show step-by-step in the video

1. Scroll in the dashboard to the Vocabulary tests section
2. Tap Pronunciation trainer
3. Select Select vocabulary sets
4. Choose one or more existing vocabulary sets
5. Once your selection is complete, the message “Training ready!” appears
6. On first use, the app asks for microphone access
7. Allow microphone access so the pronunciation training can start

Tip for following along: In the video, pay attention to two things: first the selection of vocabulary sets, and then the microphone permission. Without microphone access, the pronunciation training cannot be performed.

This completes the preparation for pronunciation training. Unlike the digital and written tests, this function also requires microphone access, as DIKIWI analyses your pronunciation and provides immediate feedback.
