7.6 Choose learning direction

Before starting the digital vocabulary test, you can change the learning direction at any time. This allows you to decide whether you want to be tested, for example, from English → Español or from Español → English. You can switch the direction at any time before starting the test.

Show step-by-step in the video

1. At the beginning, the current learning direction is displayed
2. First, select the source language
3. Then define the appropriate target language
4. The learning direction can be changed again at any time before starting the test
5. This allows the test to be flexibly adapted to the desired language direction

Tip for following along: In the video, focus on how the source language and the target language change when the learning direction is switched.

The selected learning direction determines what you focus on:

English → foreign language mainly trains speaking and active recall.
Foreign language → English, on the other hand, strengthens understanding and reading.

Especially for languages like Latin, the second option is often used to better understand and interpret texts.
