This walkthrough explains the lower section of the learning screen. This is the practical core of DIKIWI, where vocabulary is actively recalled, checked, and gradually strengthened through repeated exposure.
Fig. 2: Lower section of the learning screen
What you see here: In the lower section of the learning screen, you find the actual learning card with the current vocabulary item 'is sitting' and the orange button “Show translation”.
The learning card includes a contact counter and can be flipped.
The contact counter shows how often this vocabulary item has already appeared (1/3).
Each time the card is shown again, the counter increases by one. When the counter reaches 3/3, the vocabulary item can move to the next stage. (See the chapter “Simple learning flow” for more details).
When you tap “Show translation”, the card flips and reveals the translation (see Fig. 3).
At the same time, a button with a speaker icon appears, allowing you to hear the pronunciation.
This way, you also learn correct pronunciation.
The orange button then changes to “Continue”, allowing you to move to the next vocabulary item.
This area is intentionally kept very simple so that learning remains fast, clear, and distraction-free. The walkthrough shows how the learning card, contact counter, translation, and pronunciation work together in one continuous learning flow.

2. Below the top edge of the card, you see the contact counter consisting of three grey dots and the highlighted value (1/3)
3. The vocabulary item or phrase 'is sitting' is displayed
4. After tapping “Show translation”, the correct translation appears
5. At the same time, a speaker icon appears – tap it to hear the pronunciation
6. The button changes to “Continue”. Tap it to move to the next vocabulary item
The lower section of the learning screen combines recall, translation, pronunciation, and navigation into one structured learning flow. This walkthrough demonstrates how the system guides the learner step by step through the active learning process while keeping the interface simple and distraction-free.
